Tell me about your business.
I own the Jeannie Hulse State Farm Agency. We’ve been proudly serving Erie and surrounding communities since 2002. My team of four and I have over 90 years of combined experience. We care about the community in which we live, work, and play. Helping our State Farm families achieve their personal goals and protect their assets through exceptional customer service and care is our priority. My team and I take the time to build relationships to make sure we are adequately protecting what is important to you. We appreciate our existing customers and welcome new families to serve.
The primary focus is taking care of the families in Erie. We take a holistic approach. We aim to educate our customers on what each coverage item is, why they need it, and what fits them personally. We don’t cookie cut anything here.
How’d you get started?
Back when I was a junior in high school, I went to work for a local State Farm agent in the town I lived in. I continued to work for agents for 24 years and got hired as an agent to have my very own agency. I opened up here in Erie, Colorado in 2002 - just celebrated our 20th anniversary! I started with only 25 customers, basically from scratch, and have grown our business in such a way that makes me really proud.
We originally had our office in Erie Village and moved to our building on Briggs a couple of years later. We have come a long way and I love serving the Erie community. I started with only 25 customers, basically from scratch.
We are honored to sponsor many community events, including the Erie Farmers Market, Erie Schools, and community organizations including and Erie Chamber of Commerce, Erie Economic Development Council, Downtown Business Owners Association, Erie Optimist Club, and Erie Historical Society.
Tell me a little more about yourself
I grew up in Nebraska. My father was in the military so we moved around a lot.
We ended up landing in Omaha and finished growing up there. I moved to Colorado in 1982. My husband and I lived in Wheatridge and the Jeff Co area until 2002 when I opened up my agency in Erie.
I am a proud NAVY Mom and mom to our 14-month-old Great Dane puppy, a mini horse as we like to say.
What do you love about having your business in Erie?
I love the community here. Growing up in a smaller community, Erie felt like coming home. Even though we the town is growing we still have the core values. It is a great place to live and raise a family. My son went from 8th grade to high school here. It is just such a calming community. When I go to other communities it doesn't have the same feel.
