Administrative Assistant

The Erie Economic Development Council seeks an Administrative Assistant. We are looking for a committed and detail-oriented candidate to assist the board in managing the daily operations of the organization, planning events, and in long-term planning & execution.

 

The EEDC’s mission is to promote the Town of Erie’s central location to transportation and educational facilities, skilled workforce, quality residential options and affordable new development opportunities to primary employers. We have a vision to create a sustainable and balanced community by attracting primary employers and supporting the Town of Erie businesses with information, resources, and professional networks.

 

In order to achieve these results, the Erie Economic Development Council needs a strong backup staff member to assist with event planning, guidance, & organization to make progress on these objectives.


 

Job Description and Responsibilities

The Administrative Assistant will work with the board and provide operations support.

 

Responsibilities include:

• Board Support: Ensure that the board members have the resources they need to meet deadlines and goals. You will coordinate events/projects and schedules, create and maintain systems for tracking work, and maintain organizational files and records.

• Communications: Coordinate internal communication between board members including internal email updates, conference calls, and meetings.

• Event Logistics: The EEDC hosts a range of events (currently remote) each year. The Administrative Assistant is at the forefront of planning and organizing these events.

 

Qualifications

Applicants must be goal-driven with a track record of exercising independent judgment and discretion to solve problems. Top candidates will be driven by the idea of building a non-profit organization, have an outstanding work ethic, and the maturity to manage confidential and/or sensitive information. Candidates must be able to make a one-year commitment to the position. An ideal candidate will have experience working with government and non-profit organizations as well as extensive experience working with a board. 

 

Compensation

The compensation is up to $1,000/month and depends on relevant experience. The role will require approximately 40hrs of work on average per month. 
 

Location

Erie, CO.  For the foreseeable future, all of our staff are working remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
